Dr. Eugene Zappi

Dr. Zappi has received several awards for his research in lupus and other rheumatologic skin diseases. He is an attending faculty member at New York University Medical Center Skin and Cancer Unit where he directs a chronic wound and ulcer clinic.

Dr. Eugene Zappi
Dr. Zappi graduated medical school in his native city of Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1985, and is fluent in Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.

Dr. Zappi received Internal Medicine Board certification in 1989. In 1991 he completed an Immunodermatology Fellowship at the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. His dermatology residency training was completed in Dallas and in 1994 he obtained his Board certification in Dermatology.

Dr. Zappi is married to Dr. Laura Buccheri-Zappi, a dermatologist native of Brazil who works with him in their New York office.
